The first step of the home selling process is to reach out to a real estate agent. Even if you’re not sure yet if the timing is right to sell your home, an agent will help you analyze many different financial factors, including estimated listing price, estimated closing costs and estimated net profit, to help you determine if you’re ready to sell your home. An agent will also help you determine which any improvements, if any, you can do to increase the salability of your home.
While your agent cannot make up your mind for you about your financial situations, your agent should have honest conversations with you about the pros and cons of selling your home and what it could mean for you financially. You should never ever feel pressured by a real estate agent to list your home.
They are educated and licensed in the profession meaning they understand the importance of accurate pricing and will help guide you through all steps of the real estate transaction, including negotiating on your behalf to secure you the best deal.
