Even if you’re not sure yet if the timing is right to sell your home, an agent will help you analyze many different financial factors, including estimated listing price, estimated closing costs and estimated net profit, to help you determine if you’re ready to sell your home. An agent will also help you determine which any improvements, if any, you can do to increase the salability of your home.

While your agent cannot make up your mind for you about your financial situations, your agent should have honest conversations with you about the pros and cons of selling your home and what it could mean for you financially. You should never ever feel pressured by a real estate agent to list your home.
