What is the second step of the home buying process?
It is time to pick the team of professionals that are going to walk you through and help you successfully complete a real estate transaction. Real estate agents and mortgage loan officers, or lenders, are licensed professionals that are crucial to the home-buying process. Your lender can help you apply for a mortgage (aka home loan), match you with the best possible loan type and educate you on the break down of your loan.
Real estate agents have access to data and tools that help you narrow down which homes are available within your preferred criteria, such as number of bedrooms and bathrooms, square footage, price, location and much more. They will also set up appointments for you to privately view the homes you like and guide you through the process of crafting an offer when you’ve found what you’re looking for. Your lender and real estate agent will work together with everyone involved in the transaction from offer acceptance to closing to ensure the deal goes as smooth as possible for you.
